AGU (American Geophysical Union) is a non-profit organization with a large membership of Geophysicists. Every fall, AGU organizes the world’s largest earth and space science conference. In order to present at the conference, members are required to register online prior to the event.
Despite having a long registration period, members tend to register at the last minute, creating a huge load to the servers. This led to website being plagued by slow response time, and crashing on some occasions. This was so despite AGU’s efforts in conducting their own Capacity Test
Along with our partners Provare in the US, Proteus Ops evaluated their system, conducted our own Capacity Test, and identified the problems leading to server overload. These included memory leaks, security issues, and network problems during production.
Since being on board, AGU website has been running smoothly, and has successfully avoided server downtime during the registration period
Ginja is a rising star of food delivery service. Everyday, its platform receives thousands of food orders from people living in the heart of Bangkok. Hence, our client needs to ensure that their website is fast, responsive, and reliable enough to handle the daily spike in requests as users usually make orders before meal times.
To meet these requirements, Proteus Ops worked together with Ginja to evaluate and implement their system. We then setup servers within the same geographical area of target users, providing them with the ideal access experience. In addition, we conducted capacity tests to ensure the servers can handle the daily spike, and provided backup and monitoring services
With our support, Ginja is able to dedicate efforts towards enhancing their core business. As a result, Ginja is comfortably expanding their services, as they aim to cover the entire Bangkok area with spotless customer satisfaction
